Celebrity homes on 1/25/2012 8:00:00 AM by Maria

Mark Malkoff figured out fast that Los Angeles gets expensive for a guy living out of a suitcase. So he decided simply to ask celebrities if he could sleep at their homes. He just ASKED them! And they said YES!
He slept with Camryn Manheim's Emmy. He met Mary Lynn Rajskub and her son. He stayed in Justine Bateman's treehouse. He practiced napping with Kristen Schaal. He slept in the same bed with Kate Walsh...only after Kate called Mark's wife and assured her that it was perfectly fine since she wasn't attracted to him at all!

Ed Begley, Jr., Dave Coulier, "Bridesmaids" director Paul Feig, "Everybody Loves Raymond" creator Phil Rosenthal, legends Buck Henry and Dick Cavett...Mark convinced them all to open their doors and let him spend the night.
Well... almost all of them (
Lookin' at you, Rob Corddry. Lookin' at YOU.).
Watch what happened at
Dave Coulier's house now!

WAINY DAYS first launched on day 1 of My Damn Channel: 7/31/07. David and I knew each other a lil bit from the salad daze at MTV. He saw the future when he and the Michaels created STELLA shorts...back when it took a year and half to buffer a 3-minute clip.
I promised David he could do the original series he wanted without the typical network interruptus, "notes" and meddling. We'd deliver cash, massive promotion and distribution to reach his fans and make WAINY DAYS the premiere series of our (almost) TV network of the future.
David pitched a show where his character would make out with the hottest women in Hollywood and have every date go horribly wrong. I said 'yes.' We locked the right price for the first season of 10 episodes. And I asked David to promise to cast this show as well as he casted his latest feature film back then, THE TEN.
32 official episodes, 4 years, and 4 seasons later, you've watched and shared WAINY DAYS to make it the longest-running, most-popular comedy series in the new world.
This week, we're filming an all-new season 5 with another killer cast including David & Ken Marino, who co-wrote the new episodes and Exec Produces with David & our beloved series producer, Jon Stern. This year's cast also features Steven Weber, Zandy Hartig, Jorma Taccone, Erinn Hayes, Lizzy Caplan, n' more.
We have a brand new sponsor: FIAT !
We'll post more updates and pics and announce a premiere date sooner than you think.
While I have you for this too-happy-too-long post: please n'joy the trailer for David's brand new feature film: WANDERLUST - opening FEB 24 2012 !

Today, Google made a major announcement setting the stage for new programming on YouTube. We're honored that My Damn Channel is working to create a new YouTube original channel as part of this initiative.
We launched www.MyDamnChannel.com back in 2007 - dedicated to giving the most talented people in entertainment a studio and distribution platform where they can co-create, produce and showcase the best original video programming. We've made thousands of videos and many of the most watched and awarded comedy series like “Wainy Days,” “You Suck at Photoshop,” “Horrible People,” “Daily Grace” and political satire from the great Harry
Shearer. We've been supported by major advertisers who partner with us to reach engaged, loyal fans online with media
campaigns and branded entertainment that break through the noise.
In addition to running our own site, we've always syndicated to other outlets and YouTube has been a powerful partner since we launched our first channel there in 2007.
In February, 2012, we’re expanding our YouTube relationship to give you MY DAMN CHANNEL LIVE: a hosted, 30-minute, weekly comedy show featuring world premieres of our original videos
and series. We'll bring you stars you love and new talent too.
MY DAMN CHANNEL LIVE will also invade your screens daily with 10-minute, interactive blasts from our host. You'll see our new live show on a dedicated channel on My Damn Channel, on a new
channel on YouTube, and in syndication.
We'll keep you plugged in on the birth of our new baby with fresh updates about all the artists we’re signing and the new series we’re producing from now 'til launch.
I want to give HUGE thanks to everyone who's supported My Damn Channel. A few short years ago, Warren Chao and I
were two crazy fools with a power point presentation and a dream. The fact that one of the most revolutionary companies in the world just tapped us for their new adventure blows us away and we're
counting on all of you to be watching.

The new Paul Rudd-starring "Our Idiot Brother" opens in theaters this weekend, gifting America with the genial tale of a simple-minded fuckup (Rudd) and his exhasperated extented family. I haven't seen it yet, but David Wain has...

And while he's undoubtably correct, Mr. Wain may not be the most impartial critic. The "Brother" cast list reads like a who's who of Wainy Days All-Stars. Aside from Paul Rudd, there's Rashida Jones, Elizabeh Banks, and, let's see... looks like that's it. But hey, three's a lot! Besides, would David Wain ever steer you wrong?

If you knew that your best friend/boss/dog had an audition for a Jack Black movie, you would choose immediately to:
A) Stay up all night helping your best friend/boss/dog learn his lines and doing the best Jack Black impersonation you could so your best friend/boss/dog won't be too starstruck when meeting him.
B) Stay up all night discussing how much you hate this new incarnation of Jack Black and you miss all the old "Tenacious D" stuff and then ask your best friend/boss/dog if maybe he could get Jack Black to sign one of your old "Tenacious D" CD's because-- of course-- you still have CD's.
C) Stay up all night throwing your best friend/boss/dog the most righteous party.
The answer is obvious, isn't it?
Watch the episode and see how obvious it is.
And put those Tenacious D CD's away. And don't ever show them to a girl. Seriously.

A young George Costanza?
Maybe you've seen the ads on billboards, in bus shelters, or projected onto the insides of your eyelids. Maybe you've seen Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, or the Other One making the rounds on the talk show circuit. Or maybe you need only to consult your very own "Mug Life" abdomen tattoo to be reminded that today--yes, today!--marks the release of the final Harry Potter movie,
Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows, Part Two: Stagnetti's Revenge.
Yes, after a decade's worth of yeoman-like service at the multiplex, it's finally come time for this iteration of Harry Potter to power down, be put out to stud, and other such mixed metaphors. It's a bittersweet day for fans, but hopefully the release of the final film in the franchise will at least provide the answers to some longstanding mysteries, like "What's the deal with the smoke monster?", "Whatever happened to that Russian Paulie and Christopher let escape into the pine barrens?" and "So did A and X meet at this place last year, or what?"
Okay, so maybe I don't know anything about the Harry Potter franchise. But our very own
Daily Grace does...

And today, she
bids a tearful adieu to the Boy Who Lived. But if you want to avoid the waterworks, you can check in on Ms. Helbig in happier times, watching Part 1 of
Deathly Hallows, or over on her
Tumblr, wherein she ups her Hogwarts cosplay game considerably.

We'd like to issue this public service announcement to encourage you to check out the
Versailles Sweepstakes happening over on our
Facebook page, and to emphasize the fact that people really do win with My Damn Channel.
Don't believe us?
Ask Sharon Cruz-Nichols (and hubby), winners of our
Book of Mormon sweepstakes, who are flying to New York THIS VERY WEEK to watch
Gigi star Josh Gad in Broadway's most talked-about new musical,
The Book of Mormon. Here's a picture of the lucky couple...
Holy shirt! Speaking of, here's
YouTuber ImpactAssault looking classically debonair in basic My Damn Channel black...
And if you wanna to take a video or snap a pic of yourself doing something cool in My Damn Channel gear,
send it in. We'll post it on the blog and give you a shout out.
Don't have a shirt? Well, you could just win one.
How?
Glad you asked! Starting THIS WEEK we'll be giving away a
free My Damn Channel t-shirt to the person who gets the most friends to enter the
Versailles Sweepstakes (see how I tied that all together?) We'll give away t-shirts
each week for the next three weeks. Thanks for entering, and see you in L.A.!

Hopefully by now you've had a chance to Speak, Learn English and Donate Good Cause with everyone's favorite new cousin from the old world, Gigi. And surely you've heard about the new Broadway hit "The Book of Mormon," from South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, which just happens to star one Mr. Josh Gad, the man behind Gigi.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Josh "may be giving the single funniest, most endearing performances on Broadway." And Variety says Josh plays his part "with a nervous cackle and the gentility of a young John Belushi." Not too shabby coming from two of entertainment reporting's most enduring and respected publications.
Want to hear what Josh has to say about getting involved in "The Book of Mormon?" Then check out his interview in this Entertainment Weekly interview.
But maybe you don't live near Broadway, or can't get tickets. Don't worry, 'cause Josh is here on My Damn Channel every week as Gigi. So tell your friends, tell your family, and tell your huddled masses yearning to breathe free..

Our pal Josh Gad is, as they say, blowin' up big time, with supporting roles in big-budget
Hollywood melodramas and a co-lead role in the new Broadway hit
The Book of Mormon, the latter of which is currently making the critics swoon, Outer Darkness be damned. And Josh will also be on the Today Show tomorrow morning, Saturday March 19th, to further his Gadian agenda. So set your alarm, wake up early, and tune in to NBC.
If that wasn't enough, Josh is set to unleash the final prong of his multilevel media-domination masterplan next week in the form of Gigi: Almost American, which premieres right here on My Damn Channel next week, starting March 23.
Part Borat, part Latka Gravas, and all Gad, Gigi is the befuddled, accident-prone outsider lurking inside all of us: earnest, well-meaning, and utterly clueless. So stop by next Wednesday, grab a pig dog, roll down your windows, and howl at the moon.

The new Farrelley Bros. comedy Hall Pass was the #1 movie in the country last week, and much of the credit can be placed on the broad, heartland-handsome shoulders of co-star Jason Sudeikis. Not surprising, as the man’s talents are legion: one-time Blue Man Group wannabe, dater of Hollywood starlets, George Wendt’s nephew, etc. And don’t sleep on SNL, where he portrays a wide variety of characters ranging from the pathetic to the nettlesome, including one-half of both Jon Bovi, the world’s worst Bon Jovi tribute band, and the titular “Two A-Holes.”
But by far, Sudeikis’s most daunting role to date has been as none other than our very own David Wain, wherein attacks the role of My Damn Channel’s favorite lovelorn man-child with the kind of method intensity not seen since Ben Kingsley cinched up his cloth diaper to play mankind’s other great savior, Mahatma Ghandi. Maybe this Believer article was the key to his research. Then again, maybe there’s a little David Wain in all of us (gross).
