The headline of
ABC's video reads, "South Park Creators Invade Broadway" with a subheadline of "Jake Tapper chats with the creators of Broadway's show, The Book of Mormon." I'd add a sub-subheadline to say that Jake Trapper is a South Park superfan, and that he's living out his dream of interviewing Matt and Trey. Robin Roberts even punks him out at the beginning of this video about what a fanboy he is.
But can you blame him?
South Park has been a hit for years and preview showings of The Book of Mormon are blowing minds.
John August, writer of the movie Big Fish and Corpse Bride, recently
tweeted, "
BOOK OF MORMON is as good as everyone raves. Envy is the most sincere form of flattery." And check out this from Penn Jillette of Penn and Teller - Teller and I are at intermission at our old broadway theater watching The Book of Mormon. It may be the greatest thing I've ever seen."
It's time for us to stop being modest! We have the star of The Book of Mormon, Josh Gad, launching a new show called Gigi: Almost American THIS WEDNESDAY! 3/23. March 23rd, 2011!
A day that will live in infamy.
Until then, watch the promos and trailer and spread the word.

Blogworld is the gift that keeps on giving!
While they were all in Las Vegas to do the closing keynote for Blogworld, founder/CEO Rob Barnett and Mark Malkoff made guest appearances on Adam Carolla's podcast.
Rob and Adam are old friends so naturally they talk about:
- *How they're both probably in higher demand for keynotes than Screech and Carrot Top
- *How they're probably not as in high demand as George Clooney and Brad Pitt
- *How Rob hired Adam to replace Howard Stern
- *How Penn Jillette is ridiculously tall
- *How My Damn Channel and The Adam Carolla Show are going to work together!!!
And, to that last point, we feel like this:
Mark Malkoff's segment begins around 40 minutes in, and Adam promptly calls him "Mark Mackoff." It's okay, though, they blame it on the bad handwriting of one of Adam's staff. And then they talk about:
So listen to the show now!
Or go to Adam's website to hear it!
You can even download it directly into iTunes!
Phew. That was a lot. Here, have a Rob Barnett and Adam Carolla chaser:

Last weekend My Damn Channel founder/CEO Rob Barnett hosted all-star panel for the closing keynote at the Blogworld & New Media Expo in Las Vegas.
Some of Rob's old friends like Penn Jillette and Adam Carolla and some of Rob's new friends like Mark Malkoff, Cali Lewis and Jeff Hayzlett joined Rob onstage to chat about the ever-changing world of New Media (we named them for you from left to right):

Here's the whole gang together, including the event's MC, Shira Lazar (third from left):

And a lot of you are sad you missed it. A lot of you probably didn't even know you should've been in Vegas last weekend! Don't fear! You can watch the video here! Fast forward to the 17:55 mark to see what might be the best thing to happen in Vegas since legalized gambling and stripper poles:

Johnny Rotten on 11/16/2007 2:00:00 PM by Rob Barnett
The new Dylan is here. This one hasn't learned to play guitar, harmonica, bust a rhyme, or carry a tune yet. ("I know what you're thinking.") This one just woke us up - screaming his lungs out.....for baby formula. He + his sister Jessie are about 26 days old this morning. It's getting really hard to count that high on no sleep. But Dylan's primal screams made me think of an old Rotten line: "anger is an energy."

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oq7utK6iyV4]
Johnny Rotten was the single most influential co-con of the past ten years. At VH1, we coaxed him out of his ramshackle castle to create + host "Rotten TV." Most of my heroes have an innate sense of how to use anger against all things hypocritical. My heroes all tend to be intense hyphenate-aholics. They can wake + bake up a day that includes aspects of most of the following pursuits all at once:
- a new album
- published writings
- a film (on all formats)
- television
- concert or stage performance
- radio
The truly possessed are now waking up to newfound freedoms in NewMediaLand and adding their own, original webworks to the weekly mix of mass communication.
Most of us mortals would consider just one successful hit song or major motion picture to be a happy ending to a lifelong show business dream.
But the stars I've been chasing for years all seem to be able to cook up a near perfect storm with four or five dishes in the oven at the same time.
What have these hyphenate heroes got - dat we ain't got? How much passion + will power does it take to keep pushing pebbles up a mountain? The mountains are often as slippery as slime. Snake oil rolls down from the peak and covers you in stench and goo. But you keep climbing. You're punk in spirit. You're too smart to be stopped by false hearts. This is a sleepless salute to heroes and hyphenates who refuse to stop entertaining n' communicating:
