“STAND BY ME” MP3

On June 24, 2009, Iranian Superstar Andy Madadian went into an LA recording studio with Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora and American record producers Don Was and John Shanks to record a musical message of worldwide solidarity with the people of Iran.

This version of the old Ben E. King classic is not for sale - it was not meant to be on the Billboard charts or even manufactured as a CD.....it's intended to be downloaded and shared by the Iranian people...to give voice to the sentiment that all people of the world stand together....the handwritten Farsi sign in the video translates to "we are one".

If you know someone in Iran - or someone who knows someone in Iran - please share this link:

By mahsa on June 29, 2009, at 6:25AM PST Dear Don, Jon and Andy what I saw was a amazing contribution to people of Iran. After all these bloodsheds it is something that gives us more confidence to acheive our goal no matter what it takes.

By SasanKermani on June 28, 2009, at 8:20PM PST While I appreciate everyone's contribution, I am most proud of Andy for keeping Iran on the forefront.  I am a teacher so abviously not a rich man, far from it.  But to make my contribution, I make you a deal.  For every person who signs up and becomes a member of "UNITED IRAN" (it is a group I started on Facebook to keep the movement alive) I will donate $1, up to total of $1000.  To make it reasonable I will give everyone one month from today.  This money is to be used to compensate the families of fallen heros of the recent tragedies in Iran.  I do not know how to transfer it but I swear to their blood I will.  Please, please, I beg you, I do not need publicity and if money is to get to the right hand in Iran without Basijis intercepting it, this has to be done quietly.  I am willing to write the check to Andy or Jon.  I challenge all those who can to "pledge" to donate to the cause, even if it is $1.  God bless you all, and god bless our brave man and woman who bled and died for Free Iran. Honor them by joining me in UNITED IRAN and we will make the plitician inside and outside Iran listen to our brothers and sisters cry for freedom.  I am registered at this site so you can check, this is not a hoax.  I am just a small man trying to do what he can to help.
